In this article, published in the New Community Journal (Vol. 14, No. 3, Iss. 55), Asher Hirsch and Dr Chris Maylea outline the current Government policy which denies further education pathways for people seeking asylum and refugees on temporary visas. It features interviews with six people seeking asylum, highlighting the emotional, psychological and economic impacts this policy has on people who arrived in Australia by boat.
