The Refugee Film Festival presented by The Refugee Council of Australia and Cinema Nova
During Refugee Week 2017, the Cinema Nova will be screening five incredible films from around the world. Films of resistance, resilience and freedom, these incredible stories explore what it takes to find safety and make a new home. Each film will be followed by a special Q&A with a host of incredible guests including cast, directors and more. Click the poster images to view trailers and find out more.
The week will kick off on 18 June with the Melbourne Premiere of The Staging Post.
For the first time, Refugee Week 2017 will include the new and exciting addition of Australia’s first ever Refugee Film Festival.
The festival involves several activities including:
- Film screenings in Melbourne from 18-23 June at Cinema Nova, Carlton
- Film Screenings in Sydney from 17-18 June at the State Library of NSW, Sydney
- Host a Screening – you can host a screening in your community
The Refugee Council are delighted that Cinema Nova are involved in Refugee Week 2017 through the Refugee Week Film Festival.
