The UNHCR, The UN Refugee Agency invites you to meet Bertine, Laura, Alya, Abbas, Aansar and Jacob. They are an entrepreneur, farmer, football coach, journalist, volunteer for people with disabilities, and a school principal. Each one of them is also one of the 68.5 million people who have been forced to flee their homes by conflict or persecution. Refugees’ lives are as diverse as the countries they come from. So on World Refugee Day, they have decided to share what their life is like through special video blogs.
Bertine is originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo but became a refugee. After living in camps he was resettled to the US and after many years of study and work is now an elementary school principal in Rawhide Wyoming.
If you like Bertine’s video, why not get to know our other vloggers: Laura, Alya, Abbas, Aansar and Jacob.
Thanks again for your support to refugees. On this special day, World Refugee Day, we hope these videos will put faces to the statistics and renew your support for the year ahead.
Please watch and share this video with your friends and families and help us focus the world’s attention on this important issue.
